On-Line Real Time Analysis of Hydrogen Concentrations

The H₂A-528 an analyzer to monitoring 0 to 100% hydrogen in a variety of backgrounds including hydrocarbons. The analyzer measures three different parameters including diffusion, and density to overcome problems commonly associated with thermal conductivity detection. The minimum detection limit is in the PPM range while the accuracy at 100% is about +/-0.5%. The analyzer is housed in a fiberglass enclosure 14" by 16" by 8" deep and is available in Class I div. II version. The analyzer can handle pressures of up to 200 psi and stream temperatures of up to 140 F.

The H2A-528 is used in the steel galvanizing industry, gas manufacturing, hydrogen fueling, power generation and battery manufacturing and charging.

In order to verify the performance of the analyzer it is highly recommended to use pure gases (100% hydrogen and 100% nitrogen), as the linearity of the analyzer is extremely high. The following sampling system should be used for this purpose:
